Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground beef 80/20 lean to fat ratio
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup ketchup for the meat mixture
  • For the Glaze:
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Combine breadcrumbs and milk, let soak 5 minutes
  • Mix meat, soaked breadcrumbs, eggs, and seasonings
  • Shape into loaf in lined 9x5 inch pan
  • Make glaze and spread half on top
  • Bake 45 minutes
  • Add remaining glaze
  • Bake additional 15-20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F
  • Rest 10 minutes before slicing
